Zombie Apocalypse in Universal Studios Japan

With all the hype about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in USJ, here’s another reason why you should pay USJ a visit with Halloween just around the corner.

Once the clock strikes six in the evening, Halloween Horror Night begins and the jovial atmosphere transforms into an eerie, unnerving one. Lights are dimmed and zombies starts roaming the streets.

They chase after the visitors from time to time, sending women running and screaming in fright. They do usually stop short of body contact though so if you can conquer your fear of having a blood-stained zombie running after you with a chainsaw roaring behind, you’ll do fine.

On the rare occasion, they do drag sacrifices up a platform and devour them alive. At first, I genuinely thought the sacrifice was just another staff in disguise but it turned out the poor soul was really just another tourist.

USJ spare no detail in reliving a zombie apocalypse. Even the food stall staff who are usually friendly and immaculately polite become sullen.

The Halloween Horror Night is held every year, so if you have missed this year, you may visit it again next year. Who knows, things may be scarier by then? >:D

So for those of you who has always wanted to know how well you would fare in a zombie apocalypse, don’t miss your chance!

Did you know?
In the past, the zombie part-time job was available to the public as well. However as of late, it is only available to professionals, actors and USJ crew as they have to go through dance performance training.
