In Japan there are museums for everyone, and Raumen Museum is the best example. Ramen noodles (ラーメン) were invented by Momofuku Andou in 1958, and the museum represents it’s long history.
It is located in Shin-Yokohama, and is a kind of mixture of museum, amusement park and restaurant, or rather, restaurants, because there are nine in total. You can pay an entry for a single day for about 310 yen, a quarterly pass for 500 yen, or annual pass for 800 yen respectively. Of course every time we eat at one of those restaurants we have to pay for food.
But this museum not only has a nostalgic atmosphere or several restaurants, there is also an exhibition about the history of these noodles, shops of traditional products and activities to enjoy.
