Kyoto City Bus One-Day Pass and bus travel map

Here are some things to keep in mind when you are using the city bus one-day pass. Arashiyama (嵐山) is considered out of city therefore the pass is ineffective. Also, during peak hours the buses are often very crowded and you may have to stand all the way. During peak season especially when the autumn leaves are at their viewing season, using subway may be a smarter option as the queue for the bus can be horrendous and the bus can be packed like sardines.

Now that you know the pros and cons of the pass, you can make a more informed decision. Good luck!
